The talent and growing popularity of the Premier Basketball League continues to reach new highs thanks to some particular NBA alumni.
Xavier "X-Man" McDaniel was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in the first round of the 1985 NBA draft. The assistant coach for the Pee Dee Vipers scored 13,606 points during his 13-year career in the NBA and is in the top-200 highest scoring players in NBA history.
Sharone Wright is another NBA alum that plays a heavy role with the Vipers. Wright serves as the General Manager for the Vipers and was a first round draft pick in 1994 where he played for the Philadelphia 76ers for two years before being traded to the Toronto Raptors.
One of the biggest names in PBL history was also on one of the most memorable teams in the history of the NBA. Before Cliff Levingston was the head coach of the Rochester Razorsharks in 2012 he was a member of the Chicago Bulls first dynasty team in 1991 and 1992.
The PBL's newest addition to the league, the Grand Rapids Cyclones, has partnered with the ONE Foundation.
ONE is an international organization that works to eliminate poverty and preventable diseases, particularly in Africa. Bono, lead singer of the rock band U2, is the co-founder and spokesman for the organization.
A division of the ONE campaign, Red, has partnered with leading brands such as Apple, Coca-Cola, Starbucks and Head. They donate 50% of their merchandise profits to AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria research.
Cyclones players will be sporting warm-up shirts with the ONE logo on them to show their dedication to the cause and will have a booth at their games for people to learn more about they can help.

The Premier Basketball League's first ever meme has been created thanks to the help of some very young and creative minds.
We had many people comment and send private messages of their comedic ideas for this historic day in PBL history. We received numerous great options to choose from but can unfortunately only pick one winner.
We would like to thank Greg Foster from the Indianapolis Diesels for letting us use this photo of him and partake in the decision making of the winning meme.
