The New England Shamrocks Officially Join the PBL 

Chicago, IL - October 7, 2015 – The Premier Basketball League (PBL) today announced their latest team for the 2015-16 season, the New England Shamrocks.  The Shamrocks will call the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center in Boston home for the upcoming season.  Heading the ownership efforts for the Shamrocks will be local entrepreneur William Allen.

“We are happy to be able to call the PBL home,” Said Allen.  “This is one of the finest leagues in professional basketball and to be a part of this brings respectability to our organization.  We look forward to competing against the great organizations in the PBL.  Our goal is to provide affordable entertainment for our fans and sponsors while competing for the championship.”

“This is a great addition to the PBL,” said PBL Commissioner Dennis Truax.  “Will and his organization are top flight.  They strive to do things in a professional manner and provide the best product for their fans and supporters.  I see great things in their future, both now and long term.”

The Shamrocks will look to compete against defending PBL champion the RazorSharks in the tough Southeast Division in their inaugural season. 



The Lake Michigan Admirals Announce 2016 Try-Outs

The Lake Michigan Admirals will be holding their tryouts for the upcoming 2016 season on November 7th, 2015 from 9AM-2PM in St. Joseph, Michigan. The Admirals will be looking for talented players that have great skills and that are passionate about making it to the next level.

The three most important qualities that will be evaluated are: 1) ATTITUDE, 2) CHARACTER, & 3) ENTHUSIASM. If you have graduated from high school and are 18 years of age or older, you are eligible to tryout. Th
e cost to be evaluated and to be considered for the Admirals is only $125 dollars. All fees are due by October 30th.

Lake Michigan Admirals Tour Team Takes 3rd in Spain Tournament

The Lake Michigan Admirals tour team visited the Europrobasket International Academy located in Girona, Spain. Former Admiral Brad Kanis, who is now the director of the academy, provided the Admirals an opportunity to be included in the the 31st BBVA Saint Julia Tournament. The tournament consisted of 211 teams and twenty different game venues making it the biggest tournament in all of Spain. 

The Lake Michigan Admirals ended the tournament in third place going 3-1 overall.

#11 2015 Draft Pick Anthony Strickland Inks Deal with WNY Thundersnow

Anthony Strickland was the 11th pick of the 2015 PBL draft by the Western New York Thundersnow. Strickland is a former Division III player from Adrian College and then Division I player from Eastern Michigan University.

Strickland is a 6-foot-5 point guard from Ypsilanti, Michigan and will look to make immediate noise for the new PBL addition the Thundersnow. 

The Thundersnow officially signed Strickland on September 28th, and both parties are ready to compete and look to make a splash in their inaugural season.

Indianapolis Diesels Announce
Try-Outs for Upcoming Season

Interested in playing professional basketball in Indiana? The Diesels have announced their try-outs for the upcoming 2016 PBL season. 

The try-outs will be held October 9th and October 10th at the Twin Lakes Recreation Center in Bloomington, Indiana. 

October 9th is an optional shoot around from 7 PM- 9 PM, and October 10th the try-out will be held from 11 AM- 4 PM.
